British servicemen, part of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia), the oldest regiment of the British Army, are participating in a construction project at the National Center of Join Training in Cincu, Brasov County, alongside Romanian and US engineers, a release of the UK Embassy in Bucharest on Friday informs.
Besides the combat abilities, these servicemen are specialized in designing and building infrastructure projects. According to the quoted source, over the last six weeks, they have contributed to the development of a training facility at the Cincu Training Center, where 1,000 British servicemen were part of a large NATO military exercise, that took place last month.
According to the quoted source, Commander of the Training Center in Cincu Brigadier General Gheorghita Vlad expressed appreciation for the British engineers’ contribution. In his turn, the Commander of the British regiment stated that he hopes to collaborate again with the Romanian servicemen.
