She is Lieutenant Colonel Carmen – Claudia Popescu, and together with two male officers, Major Cristian Filip and Major Virgiliu Besca, will be deployed Saturday to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic Mission (MINUSCA) for a 12-month tour of duty.

Currently, the Romanian Gendarmerie is successfully represented by 25 officers in 12 international missions.
